2026 PENN HOSA State Leadership Conference Pin Design Competition Guidelines

*Please make sure to read all the following information closely to ensure your place in the competition*

PENN HOSA will be opening up a statewide pin design competition to all affiliated chapters. The winning designs will be used for the 2026 PENN HOSA State Leadership Conference and 2026 International Leadership Conference.

Eligibility

This competition will be open to all chapters in good standing. This includes those with students enrolled in a career and technical education program at a high school (secondary) or postsecondary/collegiate institution. Status will be verified by PENN HOSA Headquarters. There will only be one pin design accepted from each chapter.

Deadline

All entries are to be emailed to the PENN HOSA State Advisor, Alison Sprankle, AKSprankle@pahosa.org by 6:00 PM on October 3, 2025. No submissions will be accepted after this date.

Judging

All entries will be judged initially by the PENN HOSA headquarters staff and the state executive council. All submissions will be subject to copyright review and legal compliance.  Five designs will be selected to be judged by PENN HOSA Advisors who attend the Fall Leadership Conferences in October 2025..  The winning submission will be revealed at the end of day on November 7, 2025. This contest may or may not be held in the future and rules and requirements may be subject to change.

Materials and Specifications

All entries to this competition must comply with the following materials and specifications or they will be removed from judging :

– All designs must be rendered in color with a maximum of five colors (white does not count as one of the colors).

– Entries must be created in a design software package such as Canva, Adobe, Illustrator, Photoshop or InDesign. Hand drawn entries will not be accepted.

– All entries should be submitted with two versions of the design on a single page. One version should be the actual size of the pin and the other version enlarged by 400%.

– Dimensions of the pin when produced will be approximately 1 inch by 1 inch tall. Both versions should be identical. The art does not have to be square, nor to these exact dimensions. – Dimensions of the pin when produced will be approximately 1 inch tall by necessary width.

-Specify in a description to accompany your design if you envision any glittery parts, moving parts, or an LED light.
